Prince Henry of Wales, known as Prince Harry, is the second son of Charles, Prince of Wales and Diana, Princess of Wales. He and Meghan Markle, an American actress, have been in a relationship since June 2016.
On 27th November 2017, it was announced by Clarence House that Prince Harry would marry Meghan Markle in the spring of 2018. They were engaged earlier the same month, when Harry proposed with a bespoke engagement ring consisting of a large central diamond from Botswana, with two smaller diamonds from his mother's jewellery collection.
Following the announcement of the engagement, it was subsequently announced that the wedding would take place on 19th May 2018 at St George's Chapel, Windsor. This venue was previously the site of the blessing for the marriage of the Prince of Wales and Camilla Parker Bowles.
There was a carriage procession through the town of Windsor after the ceremony as well as two receptions. The first reception, for those who attended the ceremony, was hosted by the Queen and took place in St. George's Hall after the carriage procession. A second reception was at Frogmore House, for family and close friends, and was hosted by the Prince of Wales, occurred later that day.
