The gold coin from China with the beautiful panda and the Temple of Heaven in Beijing on the reverse was minted by the China Mint with 30g of fine gold (99.99%).
The panda motifs changed every year except for 2001 and 2002.
In the first year of issue, 1982, it had no face value, then was issued until 2000 with a face value of 100 yuan.
As of 2001, the face value was increased to 500 yuan.
This popular gold coin has been minted with only 30 grams since 2016, as the law required the entire system of measurement to be changed from the old Anglo-Saxon to the metric system.
