The Perth Mint has shaped the extremely popular Koala series since 2008. The koala motif changes every year on this rare coin. The special thing about the gold series from the Koala coin is that all coins are in PP quality (Proof) and are minted with the embossing technique High Relief.
High Relief means that the coin motif is embossed more deeply and processed with higher quality where the stamp is particularly stressed. Due to the high relief, the motif appears more three-dimensional than with conventional uncirculated coins, which are significantly flatter. Due to this effort, the editions of the coins are limited and particularly appeal to collectors.
The gold coins are 99.99% pure and come with a case and certificate.
