Malin Makes an Excellent start for Rosland Gold Racing

Rosland Gold Racing team welcomed a new addition just last week. Josh Malin joined the squad with a bang, diving headfirst into the Porsche Carrera Cup without any testing days or warm-ups. It was a whirlwind as he hit the track at Thruxton for the action-packed Rounds 5 & 6, with only Friday's free practice to get a taste of what was to come before the intense qualifying session on Saturday.

Thruxton is no ordinary circuit. It's the fastest in the UK, which meant we were in for an adrenaline-fuelled weekend like no other. Josh showed his mettle during qualifying, securing a solid P3 on the grid. With that second-row start, anticipation hung in the air as Sunday rolled around for the first race. And boy, did he deliver! After a hard-fought battle, Josh crossed the finish line at an impressive P3, earning his place on the podium with sheer determination.

The reverse grid format for Race 2 brought even more excitement. With the 5-ball pulled out of the hat, Josh maintained his P3 position, setting the stage for an epic showdown – and he didn't disappoint. In a display of skill and tenacity, Josh fought tooth and nail, pushing his limits to claim the runner-up spot. Charles Rainford put up a fierce defence, but Josh was relentless, challenging every corner, every inch of the track. When the chequered flag waved, he sealed a fantastic P2, leaving the crowd in awe.

Two podium finishes on his very first weekend in the car? Now, that's an extraordinary achievement. Josh Malin, you've made quite the entrance! In fact, he joked that he wished the next meeting at Oulton Park followed the very next day! How we all wished for more of the exhilarating action right away!

But fear not, we won't have to wait too long. Rounds 7 & 8 are set to take place in the picturesque Cheshire at the beloved Oulton Park circuit on June 17th and 18th. Get ready for a weekend that will leave you craving more!
